Business Development Executive

Information Technology Coalition (ITC) has a unique opportunity for an aggressive, seasoned, hands-on business development executive to join a fast-growing Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) specializing in information technology and mission support services. This position is responsible for increasing the presence of ITC across the Federal government and meeting defined annual sales targets. This is truly an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a well-performing small business and lead/execute all business development activities. The ideal candidate will possess over ten years experience in building direct and indirect relationships and partnerships for near-term growth. The candidate will also have already established relationships with government and industry executives, preferably within the intelligence and defense community. A candidate in this position will be expected to track the market and proactively prospect to identify new business opportunities, maintain a strong pipeline, and work with the operations staff to effectively capture pursuits. An individual selected will also collaborate with internal corporate partners and stakeholders to improve customer acquisition, service, and retention as well as develop Federal segment account management plans and build and expand customer relationships to maximize long-term account growth. This position will report directly to the CEO.

Qualifications

• 10–15 + years of proven Federal government sales achievements
• Knowledge of the IT and security industries with extensive industry and professional contacts
• Past Federal agency or military experience
• Strong knowledge of strategy setting, business development and proposal process
• Excellent teamwork, technical consultative sales and Federal contracting experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiating skills
• Exceptional customer centricity and ability to execute
• Bachelors Degree; business / technical emphasis desired - Masters preferred

Location

The position is in Alexandria, VA; however it is expected the candidate will be primarily teleworking and traveling within the greater DC Metropolitan area.
